I was born and raised in Kentucky. I'm 43 years old and married with 3 kids. I've work for Toyota Motor Manufacturing for 20 years and also, I'm a business owner. I enjoy acting, cooking, traveling, politics, and doing volunteer work. I'm a very ambitious person who's passion is helping others.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a nationally certified mediator in private practice in RI/owner of Rhode Island Divorce Mediation Center, LLC. I am a founding member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators (APFM), author of Separate Homes Connected Lives, and creator of Total Divorce Blueprint - an online program for divorce, co-parenting and high conflict divorce cases. I also conduct workshops and seminars encompassing all aspects of divorce, divorce & finances, co-parenting and high conflict divorces. I am a mom to my fur babies, Max & Maya. My hobbies include personal growth, reading, painting, and music.

What is your position in your NPO chapter and what are some of your duties?
I am Chair of the Wisconsin Chapter, as well as the president of a local Wisconsin group, Wisconsin Fathers for Children and Families. This allows me to work with great people here in Wisconsin to gather ideas and action plans to help our state continue to improve the lives of children with separated parents.

What are some lessons you've learned from your volunteer work?
Change takes time. Our efforts and the things we do today often takes a lot of time to take root and sprout. The political process for legislative change is complex and understanding how to be effective is vital to helping other parents sooner than later
Meet Andy Wiggins
When did you start volunteering with NPO? I started advocating for shared parenting and family law reform in September 2025. I joined NPO in July 2026.
Tell us a little about yourself. I am a father of two and have been trampled by family court. I am a CPA and MBA, and I work as a sole practitioner advising businesses on a wide array of accounting and finance matters. I also do community work such as officiating youth flag football and substitute teaching in the local school district. For fun I like to play pickleball and enjoy the little time I have with my 13 year old son.
What inspired you to get involved with NPO? The overt prejudice, oppression, and lack of due process that I and so many other parents experience in family court inspired me to join NPO. I was completely naive about the practical definition of 'justice' and I believe any impartial person would be horrified at the reality and predatory nature of family court. In contrast, a system that treats parenting as a civil right and zealously protects a child's relationship with both parents would mitigate, rather than exploit, the inherent conflict in divorce. NPO is the leading advocate of shared parenting and I am excited to work with an organization so dedicated to the best interest of families.
What are some lessons you've learned from your family law reform work? The opposition is fierce, well funded, and deeply entrenched in the legislature. Shared parenting and family law reform is non-partisan and gender neutral, but the political will for reform is not. Legislative decisions are not based on research or common sense but rather special interests in maintaining the status quo. Legislators want to hear from their constituents and are surprisingly accessible.
What advice would you give to volunteers working toward family law reform? Be a good listener. Refrain from sharing your personal story. Form connections with your local legislators and other advocates who can separate themselves from their own trauma. Develop a precise strategy, set goals and tasks, and execute. Be patient, polite, always follow-up, and don't give up.
