A Message From the Executive Committee in Illinois

The 102nd General Assembly in the State Of Illinois has begun. It held its first day of the new session on January 13th, 2021.

Over the years we have presented and provided research-backed model legislation across the country. In Illinois, National Parents Organization has plans to build on our successes and help push for parental rights reforms for both parents.

Illinois has a history of attempted reforms with so-far limited success. Never before has National Parents Organization been so motivated and engaged in Illinois as it is right now. The NPO Illinois Chapter has new leadership, located just 60 miles north of Springfield. Executive Chairman Zack Teague, and Vice Chairwoman Laura Hoffman bring unmatched experience to the table like never before.

Zack is a licensed Child Welfare Specialist who previously worked with a DCFS contracting agency as a Fostercare Permanency Worker. He is a husband, father of 3, and has experienced the divorce process in Illinois. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Illinois State University, and was enrolled in the Graduate School Department of Public Administration at University of Illinois Springfield, prior to experiencing the breakdown of his family, as he describes it, by the hands of his previous employer, The DCFS. All of his experiences and education motivate him to be a steadfast fighter for parental right’s reform in Illinois.

Laura is a mother who works with children of all ages in an educational environment. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies focusing on Early Childhood Education and Marketing with a minor in Sociology. She has seen the negative effects parental alienation has had on her family and her wider community. She believes children need their fathers daily, and that fathers shouldn’t be treated as less than fit, able and willing. Laura believes that children deserve access to fit fathers in Illinois, and that fit fathers deserve the opportunity to raise their children despite a divorce or separation. Laura is the Vice Chairwomen of the Executive Committee because she has the audacity to stand for what is right in Illinois.

We are Ready Illinois, Are You?

Volunteer today to make calls to our legislators or be a volunteer collecting survey data from the public. Write op-eds to local, and statewide media outlets to help spread our message, or simply share in a community committed to parents and quality parenting in Illinois.

Join National Parents Organization Illinois Chapter today and help make the Prairie-State a more equitable place to raise a child.

The only contribution too small is no contribution at all.

Sincerely,

Zack Teague
