When did you start volunteering with NPO?
I started volunteering with NPO in 2018.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I was born and raised in Kentucky. I'm 43 years old and married with 3 kids. I've work for Toyota Motor Manufacturing for 20 years and also, I'm a business owner. I enjoy acting, cooking, traveling, politics, and doing volunteer work. I'm a very ambitious person who's passion is helping others.
What inspired you to get involved with NPO?
What inspired me the most about getting involved with NPO is my passion for the family structure and wanted to be a voice to help others in challenging situations.
What is your position in your NPO chapter?
My position with NPO is the Chairman for the Kentucky Executive Committee. I keep up with the current legislation concerning the welfare of Kentucky's families. I also give advice and point parents in the right direction that could benefit them according to their situation. I form relationships with different legislators, media outlets, and supporters to make sure the Kentucky family structure is protected.
What are some lessons you've learned from your volunteer work?
Some of the lessons I've learned are there's people that doesn't have the same mindset when it comes to shared parenting.
What advice would you give to volunteers working toward family law reform?
The advice that I can give to volunteers working toward family law reform is start creating relationships with your local legislators and media outlets. Surround yourself with people who has the same vision as you that wants change.
